Waltham Forest Community Hub is committed to bringing together the community; providing resources and opportunities that value and empower all. The Befriending Service aims to inspire, engage and support the community and promote active participation within society.

We welcome all members of the community, from all different backgrounds, who are looking for an inclusive and empowering space where you can thrive in the collaborative nature of the Hub. Our drop in Coffee Mornings on Wednesday mornings and Thursday Senior Lunch Clubs are examples of how the Befriending Service aims to help service users to reduce social isolation and improve their general wellbeing. The Befriending Service also hosts free/low-cost groups, workshops and talks for all to attend to make sure we grow and adapt to the ever-changing needs of the community.

To keep up to date with our latest/upcoming Befriending activities and for more information please contact the Befriending Service Manager at: rebecca@wfchub.org.

We are no longer offering telephone befriending but we continue to support the residents of waltham forest with a series of regular and one off activities to reduce social isolation:
Community Coffee Morning
Seniors Lunch Club

check our latest news page here for information on other activities.

Our befriending volunteers.....

Would you like to volunteer?

If so we would love to have a chat with you. Please call Rebecca at the Hub on (020) 8223 0707 or email rebecca@wfchub.org for more information
