role Purpose
We are looking for a dynamic, strategic leader and visionary to take our charity to the next level. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a local charity that supports several thousand local people and bring fresh ideas whilst respecting what has already been built. For over 20 years, our organisation has played a vital role in connecting people, building stronger communities, and delivering inclusive, impactful services in Waltham Forest. Rooted in local voices and values, we’ve grown into a trusted hub for residents of all ages and backgrounds.
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will strategically and operationally lead the organisation to realise our vision .
The successful candidate will be values driven and have a record of achievement in leading with clarity, purpose and care in the charity sector. With proven strategic and business planning skills, strong financial and business acumen, creative flair and excellent communication skills and a proven track record of fundraising success to ensure sustainability and clear skills in strengthening partnerships across sectors and communities. They will have experience of leading a team and partnership projects, can navigate change with confidence and empathy, manage significant budgets, and balancing creative risk with sound financial management. They will also have a good understanding of the voluntary/community sector and the challenges facing local communities.
