Volunteering Link Volunteer Manager 

📍 Location: Walthamstow, Waltham Forest, London

📅 Closing date: 5pm Friday 19th June

💼 Contract: Fixed Term contract up to March 2030

🕒 Hours/ Salary: Full time 35 hrs a week, Mon-Fri 9.30am to 5pm based in our building in

       Walthamstow Village (flexible hours/hybrid working will be considered).  £33,400 per 

       annum rising to £34,235 after successful completion of probation.  ​​

role Purpose

This role supports volunteer management in three registered charities that operate in Waltham Forest – Waltham Forest Community Hub; Healthwatch Waltham Forest and Carers First.  The role will work flexibly across all three charities but will be based in Waltham Forest Community Hub.

The Volunteer Manager will be responsible for recruiting a pool of volunteers to work flexibly across the three charities. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Recruiting and supporting volunteers across a range of community-based roles

  • Developing and coordinating volunteering opportunities across partner organisations

  • Ensuring safeguarding, policies, and procedures are followed

  • Building partnerships with local organisations and volunteering networks

  • Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on volunteer activity and impact

  • Supporting volunteer development, skills-building, and employability

  • Maintaining accurate volunteer records and coordinating activities

  • Contributing to increased capacity and reach across services

Energy Warmth and Housing Advice Support Worker  

📍 Location: Walthamstow, Waltham Forest, London

📅 Closing date: 5pm Friday 29th May

💼 Salary: £22,087 per annum, full time equivalent is £27,610.

🕒 28 hours per week.  We can be flexible regarding days worked and flexible

      hours/hybrid working will be considered.  

role Purpose

This role supports individuals and families experiencing fuel poverty, housing difficulties, and financial hardship by providing practical advice, guidance, and advocacy. The Energy Warmth and Housing Advice Support Worker helps residents stay warm, reduce energy costs, access grants and support schemes, and improve their overall wellbeing. The successful candidate will also acts as a first point of contact for the Housing Advice Service, offering initial guidance, signposting, and support to help residents access the services and resources they need.​​​​
