OUR VALUES

Welcoming, Collaborative, Empowering, Inclusive, Adaptable and Ambitious. We believe that everyone has skills and potential to grow and develop. As a united community, we trust we can take collective responsibility to create a positive future.

We believe that everyone has skills and potential to grow!

We are a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Our home is a 19th Century locally listed former school building, set in a conservation area. Our primary purpose is to provide and facilitate development and support services for the local community, in particular services for young people and senior citizens.

Waltham Forest Community Hub is managed by a board that consists of committed trustees.

Our building is used for community development and engagement activities and is available for public hall hire to help secure much needed revenue. We provide responsive services for the local community. Our services are available to all the diverse communities of Waltham Forest.

We currently offer youth clubs; mentoring and employability support for young people aged 11 - 21 years; community theatre/events; social clubs and activities for senior citizens. We also offer Health and Wellbeing activities for those who are experiencing isolation in our community.

Waltham Forest Community Hub (the Organisation) is firmly committed to promoting equality, valuing diversity, and embedding anti-discriminatory practice in everything we do.  We commit to creating a workplace and service environment where every individual is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their protected characteristics or personal circumstances. This includes ensuring fair access to employment, development and progression; fostering an inclusive culture where differences are valued; and ensuring our policies, procedures and behaviours reflect our commitment to equity.

We will not discriminate in any area of employment, or in the provision of services to the public and we comply with the Equality Act 2010.  We will provide training, guidance and support to help employees uphold anti-discriminatory practice

2023 has been a challenging year however we have received an overwhelming amount of support. Its that kindness which has allowed us to continue to do great things and help those who truly need it.
