Waltham Forest Community Hub (WFCH) is very pleased to be awarded funding by Trust for London to set up a Housing Advice Service in Waltham Forest. The charity will be working in partnership with Hackney Community Law Centre (HCLC) and collaborating with Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy's Office to provide free independent specialist housing advice and representation, which will be of significant benefit to Waltham Forest residents.
The aim of the service is to make housing advice and advocacy more accessible for the community. WFCH will lead on it and manage the service within their venue in Walthamstow. Sean Canning, the Manager of HCLC responded to this news: “HCLC is delighted to work in partnership with WFCH to support residents in accessing high quality housing advice. This builds on our existing work delivering housing advice to residents in Hackney and across neighbouring boroughs." The Chair of Waltham Forest Community Hub said: "this wonderful news strongly supports our mission and commitment of bringing together and leading the community, providing opportunities and resources that value and empower all."
